White lights that won't leave you blue,
by Tom Brusky, 2010-07-30
I wanted bulbs that were as white as possible without having a blue tinge, and it turned out these bulbs were exactly what I was looking for. I was afraid they might have a blue tint, but like other reviews stated, they don't. I installed the bulbs one-at-a-time at night so that I could see the difference compared my stock halogen bulbs. The difference was astounding. The Sport Nighthawks literally made my stock halogens look sickly yellow. And yet, like I said, these bulbs are not blue -- they're just a perfect, pure white.
I was hoping the light output might include some extra wash to the sides, because the headlights on my 96 Crown Vic tend to throw all the light straight ahead in a narrow beam and leave dangerous "dead spots" toward the sides. The Nighthawks didn't fill those dead spots, but that's no doubt due to the shape of my headlight bezels and has nothing to do with the bulbs.
Please note that I only installed these bulbs a short time ago, and have no idea how long they're going to last. I've had awful luck with Sylvania bulbs, which is why I went with GE this time around. But so far, so good. If you want pure white, bright headlights without that annoying blue tint, you will be very pleased with the GE Sport Nighthawks.
Twice as bright!,

Plugged these in my 09 Civic and these bulbs blow the stock ones. Twice as bright. The color is white, no yellow nor blue hue. But it's good enough.

Better and Brighter than Sylvania SilverStar Ultra,
by Tristan B. Gray, 2010-04-21
Alright, I don't usually write these things but this one I have to. I bought upon much review Sylvania SilverStar Ultra's and was impressed by the way they looked, but not very much by the light output. I used them in Alaska's night time driving, so I know what I'm talking about since it's night most the year. As the reviews were correct, they lasted about 7-8 months till one went out.
Now, I decided that the money spent on the SiverStars might be spent better on a different brand. I've read many good things about the NightHawk so I gave this version a try because they were around the same price. WOW... my good looking dumb girlfriend was even like "it looks like it daylight outside hehe" if you could imagine. I was amazed at the difference and completely sold. I don't even know if their more expensive new version is worth the extra money compared to these things. They are much brighter than the SilverStars and I'm guessing they will also out live the SiverStars also since I read no reviews on the short lasting of this bulb.
Put all your questions aside between purchasing these and the SilverStar... you will be waisting your money if you get anything else.
GE Nighthawk Sport bulbs,
by J. Gowan, 2010-04-09
I installed these lamps today. So far so good. The lights are nice and bright.
The last two lamps I have used were the Sylvania 9006SU BP SilverStar Ultra High Performance Halogen Headlight - Pack of 2 and Hella H83170082 HB4/9006 12V/55W High Performance Xenon Blue Halogen Bulb Set, though I did not get either from Amazon. The quality of light from the GE Nighthawks is on par with these two.
While I liked the light quality on the above lamps, I've been disappointed with the life, with both having a lamp go out in under a year. Considering the OEM headlights lasted over 3 years, I find that unacceptable. I'll come back and edit the review when the first of these lamps goes out to give an accurate idea of the lifespan.
