works as described,

i moved the blades for the combinations that i normally need. it is oily which is good for a limited use tool.
Great for guitar setup,
by C. Longo, 2010-06-02
I use this to check the relief of my guitar after I do a setup. I put a capo on the first fret and hold down the last fret then use the feeler to measure the gap at the 8th fret. I like my relief from 0.006 - 0.01" and this set has those measurements and a ton more.
Guitar shops sell this type of tool for $30. This set was a fraction of the price. The only downside is it comes heavily oiled so you'll need to wipe it down with a paper towel on first use.
Filthy and greasy on arrival. Completely unusable.,
by ReaderDiva, 2010-05-22
First let me say that although I am female, I am not "feminine." I grew up on a farm and hung out in the machine shop. I know more about tools than most guys I know, and I know that tools don't arrive like this.
I actually bought these for guitar setup, and they were unusable for that, because they were covered in brown grease. When I removed the gauges from the package, I got grime all over my hand. Each blade was covered in the same grime, which had the consistency and color, and much the same smell, as motor oil.
You cannot touch these things without getting your hands, and anything you come into contact with, covered in grime. I'm not talking about a light coating of clear lubricant to protect the blades. I'm talking about what my dad called monkey grease. These things are filthy. That is not acceptable. I've bought plenty of tools, and I expect my tools to be clean when I take them out of the package. That's a realistic expectation, even from a woman.
work great for me,

I got these feeler gauges to help me when I do set-ups on my guitars. They've been extremely helpful. If you're interested in learning how to set up guitars, get these!
Does the job great,

Does the job great. A bit hard to find the specific combination as there are so many of them. (trade off for compact size)
