Buy it, I wish I had years ago.,

I had seen these pictured in shop manuals, but never knew where to buy one for a reasonable price. I had only seen them from high-end tool vendors for well over $100. I happened to see this one day and gave it a shot. I'm glad I did, it works great. No damage to boots and parts from pickle-forks or hammers. And very fast! The steel appears to be very well tempered and should hold up well. I use this on passenger cars and it is the perfect size for tie-rod ends, lower ball joints, and upper wish-bone joints.
A quality product but too small for my Audi A6,

The opening on this separator is only 3/4" which isn't large enough for my Audi A6 ball joints. In order to work, I needed 15/16" or 1". I had to purchase a different tool to do the job.
